For the last couple weeks, we've been doing tumbling in class. I'm working on somersaults. The first thing was getting over the mental hurdles of "my body isn't supposed to move like this."
I found that my legs want to catch me, so they cross when I land. I need to work on keeping my feet shoulder width apart to avoid this.
Now I'm trying to figure out how to get enough momentum to stand after the roll. Grabbing onto something helps, but my goal is to be able to do it without the support.
